Uncle Bill passed away during the summer. I was very thankful that I had had the opportunity to go up to Smithers and visit him during the winter. We had a great visit.
Memorials are both a sad and happy time. A sad time as one of the family is gone but a happy time of remembering good memories. I remembered good times of being at Uncle Bill's cabin with my cousins at the lake. I remembered playing crib with Uncle Bill. I remembered tears in his eyes as we said good-bye for the last time at his place in Smithers.

Uncle Bill was a great crib player - he even skunked me the last time I saw him. He could still count the cards.

The family put together pictures and such that helped to bring back all the memories and times of his life.

This is my mom with her last living family member - Uncle Lyle.

It was also a time of meeting with cousins and relatives that I hadn't seen for a while and visiting. This was all good.

Laughter and stories and ...

...food.

Me and Auntie Marg having a nice visit.
